As it results from the Current Report No. 45/2020 Information on the intention to include in the financial statements for the first half of 2020 impairment losses on assets and their estimated impact on the financial results of the Zespół Elektrowni Pątnów-Adamów-Konin S.A. it has decided to abandon its plans to build the lignite open-pit mine Ościsłowo.

ZE PAK has been trying to obtain a decision on environmental conditions since 2013. In 2017, the Regional Director for Environmental Protection in Poznań issued a negative decision. Then the case was referred to the General Director for Environmental Protection.

It is a success of non-governmental organizations and the local community action against the implementation of this project which would be harmful to the environment.
